Our Beliefs

THE SACRED SCRIPTURE
The Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the written revelation of God’s character and saving purposes for humanity and for all creation. As God’s revelation, the entire Bible is true and trustworthy, and is the final and absolute authority for belief and conduct. The Holy Spirit who inspired the Bible enables its interpretation and application..

TRIUNE GOD
We believe the Godhead exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are one God, having the same nature and attributes and are worthy of the same homage, confidence and obedience.

GOD THE FATHER
We believe in God the Father existing eternally as the Creator of heaven and earth, the Giver of the Law and of Grace through His Son, to whom all things will be subjected, so that He may be all in all.

JESUS THE SON
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God. We believe in His substitutionary death for all men, in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven, His priestly intercession, His resurrection, and His eventual return to rightly judge the world.

THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the existence of the Holy Spirit as the third person of the Trinity and in His interaction with man. We believe the Holy Spirit as the Promise of the Father. He is our Comforter, sent to convict the world of sin, incorporate the believer in the Body of Christ, indwell the believer, and give spiritual gifts to the Church for the purpose of revealing and proclaiming Jesus as King of His creation.

SALVATION
We believe salvation is the gift of God by grace alone and received by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and that this faith is expresed in works pleasing to God.

THE GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT
We believe the gifts of the Spirit to be abilities given by God to empower followers of Jesus to share and live out the Good News of Jesus' Kingdom.

HEALING
We believe that that God graciously heals according to His perfect will and pray for anyone seeking God's healing. Healing, whether spiritual, physical, emotional, or mental, is a foretaste of our future hope of complete restoration. 

COMMUNION
We believe the Lord’s Supper to be a symbol, memorial and proclamation of the suffering and death of our Lord Jesus Christ. This ordinance of communion is to be participated in by believers until Christ’s return.

WATER BAPTISM
We believe God established baptism by immersion to be a outward symbol of the inner work God has done through Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit. All those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour are called to follow Him and be baptized in water as a public profession of their faith in Christ.

SHARING THE GOSPEL (GOOD NEWS)
We believe that sharing the Good News of Jesus is the opportunity and responsability of every follower of Jesus Christ. The Lord commands us to go out and make disciples of all the earth as the Holy Spirit leads them and gives them the ability.

STEWARDSHIP
We believe that every person is the steward (or manager) of their life and resources which ultimately belong to God. We believe that regular finacial giving is an act of obedience taught and practiced by Jesus' disciples and one way we live out the scriptural principles of stewardship. By being generous, we prevent our resources from taking hold of our hearts and reflect Jesus' generosity towards us. 

PRAYER AND PRAISE
We believe singing together songs of truth and praise to God is an important and biblical practice as part of our worship. We believe in the authority of the believer to ask freely of the Lord for their needs.

THE CHURCH
We believe in the Church as the eternal and universal Body of Christ consisting of all those who have accepted the work of Jesus' perfect atonement. We believe in the need for a local assembly of believers to encourage and build each other up as we seek to live and procaim the Good News of Jesus Kingdom.
